Hofwijck Association

 

The Hofwijck Association (Vereniging Hofwijck), established at Westeinde 2A, 2275 AD, Voorburg, is registered as a Cultural Charity (Culturele ANBI) under number RSIN 002607645.

 

The aims of the association are:

a. to maintain its property, the country estate Hofwijck in Voorburg, as a historic monument;

b. to expand and disseminate knowledge about the life and work of Constantijn Huygens and his children;

c. to operate a museum in Hofwijck house, and

d. to use or facilitate the use of the Hofwijck country estate for cultural and social activities, insofar as these are not in conflict with the museological use under point c.

 

The association committee is made up of the following people:

Dr Ad Leerintveld, chair

Dr Ineke Huysman, secretary

Mr Evert Urbanus, treasurer

Mr Harry Kortman, member

 

Huygens’ Hofwijck is managed by two board members:

Ms Janelle Moerman, director

Mr Peter van der Ploeg, director

 

The committee is unsalaried. The salary of the management board is in line with what is customary in the sector.

Friends of Huygensmuseum Hofwijck

 

The Friends of Huygensmuseum Hofwijck Foundation (Stichting Vrienden van Huygensmuseum Hofwijck), established at Westeinde 2A, 2275 AD, Voorburg, is registered as a Cultural Charity (Culturele ANBI) under number RSIN 812054143

 

The aims of the foundation are to stimulate interest in Constantijn Huygens and his family and in the Huygens’ Hofwijck estate in Voorburg

 

The Foundation gives financial support in the form of gifts and loans to the Hofwijck Association to enable the Association to realise its goals.

 

The board of the foundation is made up of the following people:

Dr Ad Leerintveld, chair

Dr Ineke Huysman, secretary

Mr Evert Urbanus, treasurer

Mr Harry Kortman, member

 

The board is unsalaried. The board does not employ any personnel.
